HDcam HD USB Camera
The USB HDcam is the bare board of the exploreHD Camera but without the waterproof housing. This camera provides the same excellent image quality as the exploreHD but uses a specialized lens designed to be more suited for above water applications. The camera can output H.264, MPEG, and YUY2 at reduced framerates. Due to its low distortion and smooth framerate, this camera is ideal for computer vision applications. It is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux and is the perfect companion for a Raspberry Pi camera system.

Our pivoting hinge system allows this camera to be used for almost all use cases above water. You can mount this almost anywhere for the footage that you desire.

Unlike other USB cameras, we carefully calibrated ours with precision color charts to ensure our color science match that of the human eye using thousands of color data points.
